Walking from Galaxy to Venetian is longer than it first appears as you have to walk to the east side of Venetian to enter, it seemed. I can't imagine the walk from Andaz to Galaxy would be hard as you can just enter from the JW lobby.

Which rate would you guys go with? 20,000 points/MOP887.83.

I will be visiting this hotel this weekend. I'll post back my review later. I booked it using cash. I did initially book using points (23,000) but canceled it and booked using points. I can get almost 2 nights for those 23,000 points.

Are all the rooms fully open now? They only opened half when I visited in September.
How's the breakfast vs Grand Hyatt's Mezza9? How's the Happy Hour spread? They often emphasized that the room rate includes access to the Grand Resort Deck. Now that the Deck is closed till Q2, is the Hotel offering anything else in lieu? |

Did you get upgraded to their Andaz Suite if you're Globalist? |
Ok, I am back. I just booked a twin room with balcony. I didn't get upgraded, but I'm just explorist. I don't drink so I didn't visit the bar. Yes, all of the rooms appear to be open. Service was spectacular. I really enjoyed it all.
Yes, it is far from the Venetian, but close to Galaxy (right across the street), but the killer thing is it is next to the LRT, which takes you right to Barra station, which is very nice. I had breakfast, but I can't compare it to the Hyatt mentioned above. Breakfast was ok, but not spectacular. I really liked their 拉麵 noodles there where the chef made the noodles by hand right in front of me. Still waiting for my Hyatt points to post despite me back for 2 days already. No idea about the Grand Resort Deck, but no one made any mention of that to me. |
Stayed at this property over the past two days with an excellent cash rate of US $100 daily inclusive of tax and fees.
Booked the basic room via App and was upgraded to Andaz Suite. App doesn’t reflect the Suite upgrade or provide access to wireless key. Room is spectacular with high tech facilities such as wireless charging port, type c and usb stations. Complimentary minibar consistent with Andaz standards, refreshed only once per stay and not per night. Items include a bottle of red wine, local delicacies and Andaz IPA Breakfast is of high quality with great western and Asian selections. All buffet with no a la carte. Menu does not change by day. Bar is great and I enjoyed a glass of Old Fashioned made by Shobit Shetty who was previously from Goa Nights in Taipa. Overall a great stay though am amused to see Marriott advertisements on the TV in my room given this is a Hyatt property. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...73ec8ceee.jpeg Marriott advertisement in room https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...085c2f1af.jpeg Living room https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...9290a4704.jpeg Free mini bar items https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...3df2fed38.jpeg High tech charging ports https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...caf8ebb2d.jpeg Bathroom https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...7a5fc701d.jpeg Breakfast juice and fruits https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...519283fe8.jpeg Asian selections https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...2fd98bc0f.jpeg Pastries https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ff3aa6b06.jpeg Cheese selections https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...dd54b0f25.jpeg Breakfast https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f480f3997.jpeg Old Fashioned @ Andaz Bar |
It's been >96 hours since I checked out and I've still not received the SNP.
Upon checking with Hotel, Front Desk said that it will take 7-10 working days for SNP to post. Sounds a little too much for a Hyatt property that's not UrCove. The post stay survey also came from Galaxy Entertainment with its own format instead of the Hyatt one. |
Anyone who's stayed, literally how far is the walk from the hotel entrance to JW entrance/galaxy resort? Many thanks.

Don’t stay at Andaz Macau
Globalist review: The Andaz Macau may have Andaz decor and room furnishings, but the service and loyalty membership seems like a Galaxy building that is understaffed and not serious about its luxury brand name. I felt so compelled about my current experience today, that I had to register an account here.
1. Don’t expect to be upgraded as a Globalist not even to a better non-suite room. The hotel is massively over occupied. You will most likely get a higher floor view of the parking lot. With apologies from the front desk, I was told I’d get a great view … of an empty parking lot. Front desk offered a fruit platter at 4pm which didn’t arrive even at 7pm when I followed up. This sad looking bouquet of brown berries came at 10:35pm when I was woken up from my sleep. Why would your staff send something so late close to 11pm? The young man who brought it had no idea what it was for. 2. The lounge and its happy hour. I have low expectations for Andaz public lounges, but this one had 4 small sofas for the entire hotel. What was on offer were nuts from a jar, fruit water, and some ice tea. The alcohol served — all I saw was an empty ice bucket (I posted the video on Google Map reviews). I had to ask for a beer which the staff had hidden in the cupboard. Once other people saw I got handed a beer, it was a mad rush. 3. There was a shoe shine offered, and I called to use the service. I was told it would take 4-5 hours to receive it back around 9-10pm. This is an Andaz hotel. The service is that slow. 4. The room is very tiny. I just don’t see any value staying here versus paying more for a Marriott. I’m afraid of what breakfast would look like from this crowded lounge experience. If you have the option to stay at the JW Marriott next door, stay there, or better yet at Grand Hyatt or St. Regis. This hotel squeezed in between convention centers somehow forgot it’s a luxury hotel. |
