It has been two years since I first posted this. I got a lot of pushback, people saying what I was doing wasn't sustainable or that I would get shutdown. Well, I’m back to say that Im still doing this, and it is even more lucrative now than it has been in the past.
I'm writing this from a Park Hyatt, where I’m earning my 30th night of 2024. I’m on track to hit 60 nights by early-July this year, to make it 5 consecutive years of Globalist status almost exclusively on points for leisure travel. Two years ago it was possible to earn ~1 million points a year sustainably, now it is more like ~1.4 million, and my redemption rates have gone up since then to 4.5 c/pt on average. I want to say a big thank you to Hyatt FT community. This is the best resource for up to date information about Hyatt properties. It has really helped with maximizing points and SUA’s. Here’s to many more years of being a Globalist! |

Great! Would you like to share some tips and tricks on how you've been able to scale up to 1.4 million points per year sustainably?

Yes, signing up for Ink cards every 92 days between my spouse and I. You can read more on the Chase FT forum.
Or do you open new inks with a new business entity? Or do you open multiple inks for the same entity (is that allowed?) I cancel my inks every 2-3 yrs and then apply again. I don't manufacture spend. I use the cards to donate to schools and don't use them for any other spending as I don't want to pay foreign exchange fees and I'm almost never in America these years. I opened 2 new inks last for one entity. I'd like to open more this year but am only available for 1 ink (2 yrs ago I had think ink for $15,000, now it's down to 8000 to get bonus) and Hyatt card. I find the Hyatt card totally useless and expensive so don't want to apply and cancel again and run risk of chase banning me. I'm willing to take the ink w $95 spend and hold for a couple yrs. I tried w my wife opening inks but she got rejected unfortunately. I'd love to get as many points as you get. I could easily open other cards but only want Hyatt points. I'm not loyal to any airline. 800 + credit. Income at higher end. I wish amex had more useful cards for me. But no Hyatt and the coupon cutting nature is annoying and only good if you are us based. Outside us we can't use the credits easily so amex plat is a wastem so is centurion. My friends keep but don't understand why - I tried to convince my business partner to cancel centurion because he can't articulate why he has it other than his wife likes the prestige. Anyway, appreciate advice on how to get more inks and not run risk from cancelling tooany cards |

You just need to keep under 5/24, and be mindful of chase guidelines around velocity and credit limits. The Ink Preferred has no foreign transaction fee, so would be fine using overseas. Getting this many points is doable, if you do your research. |

There is no need to wait 2 years. That is not in the terms and conditions for the ink cards. There is no rule against holding multiple of these cards simultaneously for the same business.

I do this too. I'm a little slower on the churn but I spend enough on Hyatt CCs and stay enough award nights at Hyatts to maintain Globalist the past 4 years. Around 30 nights so far for 2024. Hit 80+ last year, which was excessive tbh. I also spend a lot on AA cards to maintain Exec Plat and and do a lot of award travel on J/F international saver awards.

Do you cancel and Ink and then reapply within 24 months to get the bonus? Or do you apply even if that account holder still holds that Ink, ie an account holder has the same Ink?
I have been applying for an Ink, hold it for 2 years, cancel and then reapply. But if I can do it more regularly, I'll do it every year/ every few months if I'm allowed. I'm not clear if you cancel Inks before reapplying. |
