Whatever Park Hyatt Tokyo uses are exceptionally comfortable. I recall that they were never the stock standard Hyatt Grand Beds, but specially selected models for PHT.

Update...

The mattress and foundation were delivered after about 5 weeks. Delivery service was excellent and took great care to cover anything they would walk on. They removed the old bed, which weighed a lot (it took 3 guys to carry it down the stairs) and set up the new bed and make sure it was centered on the wall.

We have been using it now for 3 months, and while it was stiff at first (of which we were warned) it has now become quite comfy and cozy.

I definitely would buy one again - and as I mentioned - the ordering process was a breeze as was completing the transaction.

I recently stayed at a Hyatt in Napa, loved the bed, and found this forum. The same mattress number is still being sold to Hyatt from Sealy so I am seriously considering purchasing. I wanted to follow up with you to see if you still love the bed and would suggest buying.

I'm not still loving it... Since getting it I've slept in quite a few more Hyatt beds and noticed a big difference. Motion transfer is far more than the hotel beds. If my 9 pound dog throws himself down on the bed it moves.

I was about to call them about it to see if perhaps we got a defective bed OR if they really aren't the same.

I just stayed at the brand new Hyatt Thompson Denver and I noticed they use a rug pad underneath the mattress and on top of the platform to help with motion transfer. I'm new here so I can't post attachments yet or else I would post the pic I took but it is literally just a standard rug pad used to keep rugs in place. Not sure if you've tried that but I know I never thought to do that.

Does this phone number still work? I love the Hyatt bed.... Much better than Westin most of the time, which for me, had previously set the standard... I hate the Sheraton "sweet sleeper bed".

I tried to warn Mary in post 11 about buying mattresses online or from mattress makers directly. Always be careful when buying hotel mattresses - actually avoid at all cost. The ones they sell to consumers are not the same ones they use at their properties. My worst mistake was buying Westin Heavenley bed from the Westin online store. It lasted about 2 years before it started to form body indentations.

You did.... and I didn't pay attention. So we replaced it a year later with a memory foam mattress that is working out better.

It eventually got so bad the motion transfer was ridiculous AND it got really soft where we slept.

Stick with a casper/leesa, etc.
