Mistake Award Availability?
 

I currently have a Chase annual award available which only allow up to cat 4 award. While looking for hotels in NYC for an upcoming trip, its showing me promotional award availability on all the top hotels in cat 6 and 7. Apparently when I click on it, it seems to be bookable. Shouldn't this be a mistake? If my award certificate is only good for cat 4, why is it showing cat 7 availability?

It's a pretty well known flaw. You can see it discussed in the PH Vendome thread. It will not actually book.

Use your search. This has been asked a myriad of times.

Comes up all of the time. You will either not complete the booking properly, or it will complete and you will be charged rack rate upon arrival at the hotel.

Hyatt really needs to fix this. It's not like it's a secret. I bet they get a bunch of calls when the reservation won't book.
