2016 Award Chart Changes

Dear Flyertalkers,

On August 1, 2016, we will implement changes to the Hyatt Gold Passport® Award Chart. The changes will include 56 hotels moving to a lower category and 50 hotels moving to a higher category. A complete list of changes will be available on http://hyatthotels.hyatt.com/content...t-updates.html .

When you book before August 1, 2016, your bookings can be made using the current award chart. Existing reservations for stays after August 1, 2016, will receive a refund for the point difference if the hotel moved to a lower category.

Rest assured, free night award redemption will still be as easy as possible with no blackout dates. If there is a standard room available at any location on any day of the year, you are more than welcome to reserve it with your Hyatt Gold Passport points.

One of my least favorite days of the year.

Hyatt Centric South Beach went from a category 6 to category 4. Finally, that makes sense.

Typical Hyatt. Somebody leaks the list to the Boarding Area bloggers, but IT can't get a webpage up and running for the general public.

Bummer @ so many NorCal properties moving up in Category. Sucks @ HRSF + HRSFO. And Pleasanton a 3? Silly.

The link provided in the original post is now working. Thank you for your patience while we fixed this issue.

So is Hyatt Centric Park City going to be a 3 or the more likely 5?

cdancer20 Jul 5, 2016 8:17 am

Grr. I wish that they would have dropped 1 of the Hyatt Place's in my area from 2 to 1. Read - "need mattress runs" LOL.

Hyatt Centric Park City is moving from category 4 to category 5. The landing page is incorrect and will be fixed asap.

Knew SFO was coming for a LONG time. That hotel already played more than enough games with award nights. GH already went up as well. No more chase anniversary nights in SFO. Otherwise, not really that bad a change overall I would say.
