MY room had manual drawstring type shades that were kind of annoying.

I guess they want a young demographic to do manual labor for once? I think all new hotels (at this price point) should automate the blackout curtains and blinds. Guessing all the rooms are manual?

No, it was not a suite. I think it may have been a King Deluxe (corner room).
|
My current room also (king) has manual shades. The first night I checked in, was given an ADA room, it had automatic shades. The ADA room was also much bigger I believe.
Location is nice, but next time I come to Chicago I think I'll stay at Lanham/Trump for location. |

Stayed in two different rooms (ADA/standard king) over three nights, noticed the AC is exceptionally loud when turning on. Most of the time it wasn't a bother, but when trying to watch tv, I had to adjust the volume and when sleeping it woke me up a couple times.

I guess it's just the base rooms that have manual then.

Looks like manual blinds right davie355?

I appreciate the review and the photos. My immediate first impression was "that desk is soooo hip and trendy ... and consequently, totally useless". :(

http://i.imgur.com/nlKhtda.jpg So while not 100% blackout, these shades let only a small amount of light that did not disrupt my sleep. I also noticed there's a nightlight in the bathroom above the sink that cannot be turned off, but again, it was not disruptive to me at all. http://i.imgur.com/DxfkQY0.jpg I took a shower this morning -- unfortunately you do have to step inside to turn on the faucet -- http://i.imgur.com/vrlFrCv.jpg -- but water pressure is excellent (and I love my waterproof phone). http://i.imgur.com/GIW6hok.jpg |
Haha first under shower photo I've ever seen. Thanks davie355.
