I am a new Platinum with 8 stays so far this year. I have been splitting my business between Hyatt and Starwood where I am a Gold Preferred. After seeing the info re the Diamond Comp promo I thought since I am also a Delta PM that I should receive the same comp with the 4 stays etc. After speaking with customer service I was told since I was a current Gold Passport member that I was not eligible. This seems strange to me. If the comp is extended to someone like me it would push me to change all my business to Hyatt for next year as I would undoubtedly miss the Diamond service once I got it for the rest of this year. One would think that Hyatt would have a little more foresight and reward their current members who might potentially increase their business. Guess I was wrong. Will keep splitting with SPG & Hyatt.

I didn't say Champagne, just champagne.

Many of you who don't live in New York City may not be aware that we are going through yet another fiscal crisis. Although we might be able to fill the treasury by collecting on unpaid parking tickets from UN diplomats, I'm sure the rest of you will help by only consuming:

- New York cheescake made in New York
- Manhattan clam chowder made in New York
- Long Island Ice Tea "brewed" in Queens or Brooklyn (we'll split it with Nassau and Suffolk counties)
- And, of course, New York strip steak from the huge herds grazing in Central and Prospect parks

I did, but I'm not sure if it was based on AA or DL status.

I too received the same offer "to retain Diamond" after 5 stays-COmpleted first of five but GP account is only showing credit as one stay rather than the "triple" mentioned in the promo.
Is one supposed to register??? I don't recall any mention of that in the mail I received.

as shown on my Hyatt account:

Hyatt Stays: 5
*Current YTD
Hyatt Nights: 5

I'm a Japanese member and live in Tokyo.
I've got the offer from UA1K about three years ago and since then I'm keeping Diamond status.
