Lifetime status?

I noticed on my Gold Passport E-Summary a field for "Total Lifetime Points". Does this mean anything at this point?

I haven't heard of Hyatt offering anything similar to 1MM like the airlines, but maybe I missed something?

Don't take this as an authoritative answer, but I think, because you've reached Platinum, your lifetime points will NOT expire. I remember reading that if you're just a plain ole' Gold member, your points will expire after 12 months of inactivity. (Inactivity being no stay, no redemption, no bonus posting, etc.) But since you've managed to move up to the next level (be it Platinum and/or Diamond), your points will never expire.

Not sure if I know of any hotel chains that have initiated any 1 Million Point program like the airlines.

Hope this helps!

The only reason a Platium's (or better Diamond) points would not expire is that to be any status requires recent stays. The exception to the stay/status is all the recent comps.

Life time points are not awarded.

At to special status for total points, I have 300,000 and it has not give me anthing outside the program. My wife has over 500,000 and she has not recieved anything outside the normal program either. There is nothing published that I know of for a 1MM point special status.

As a side note. AS no longer even states you mileage since enrollment on its statements! I think some have backed out of this concept as is get more "crowded" over time.
