The bathrooms are similiar in Berlin and Hamburg.

Sorry for the late reply. I got home Monday afternoon from FRA. I really liked the Mainz Hyatt. I got a nice room on the Regency floor facing the river. Fantastic view. I have to agree with the remarks about the RC in this thread. The food was ok but rather sparse. Also, the club is not open at all during the afternoon. It's only open for breakfast and for two hours at night. The only other negative remark I have for the hotel is that I never received a diamond ammenity. I got a cold walking around in the cold and snow (I'm from Texas) so I didn't do all that much on this trip. It seemed that most carnival activities in Mainz were on Monday so I didn't see much of that. I did see a parade on Sunday in Wiesbaden.
The food is better in the Mainz RC than it used to be, still does not compare to Berlin or New York.

If a reservation say "Breakfast included" when a RC Room is booked (or corfirmed), do you think this means that one has the choice whether to have breakfast in RC or at the Restaurant? Sometimes, breakfast at the Restaurant is definitely better...
