I'd never have noticed. I don't use my points. Still, relative to the previous posts, this seems like a relatively large number. Oh well....

If you don't use your points, want to send them my way? :D

I got 4,000 points and was notified by email. Must say it's a very nice surprise - and I thought I kept track of every *single* point I was entitled to. This is another reason I've been so loyal to the Hyatt chain and what a nice way to tell your customers that you value their patronage? Kudos!

I got 991, even though it's a relatively small number, it's the only loyalty program that has ever done this for me uninitiated which makes it impressive regardless of the amount.

It was nice of them to get this fixed.

Seeing all the love on the American board about the system wide double miles just announced makes me think maybe Hyatt would want to top it. After all all those eltes flying on milwage runs in January are going to need rooms.

Perfect time for a double stay bonus offer
;)

+1 even though I got 0.

+9K and change.

But...WHY???

What "glitch" caused this. I have NO IDEA where I was shorted 10K. Have only been a diamond for ~5yrs or so...and I keep track of all my points...

(Unfortunately) They "flow" back to my employer.

I guess that's a lot of points for a guy who rarely stays anywhere but Hyatt Places (in the Hyatt family).

I did a little searching of the forum, but failed to locate an answer: where did the points disappear? Never credited? Base or bonus or both? Removed improperly?

Milesbuilder Dec 13, 2011 8:11 pm

I have a feeling this is part of the reoccuring issue of points posting not equaling the dollars spent.

After years of trying to reconcile my bills, I gave up. I never could figure out how $x x 5 pts was so hard for software.

Completely agree with this statement.

I received 1,155 pts myself^.

600 or so for me, looks like people who stayed more in the US got more missing points.

seaduck79 Dec 14, 2011 3:19 am

I was credited with over 7,000 points, and I thought I kept pretty close track of it, too. And that was AFTER the 2011 charges, which I had already gotten corrected.

I am glad they didn't have to be nagged to make the fix retroactive.
