Hyatt: 22
SPG: 38 Hilton: 4 Other hotels (e.g. Leading Hotels/ awful B&Bs): ~25 Aeroplanes: 14 Temp corporate housing: ~240 My flat (before giving it up): 22 Ironically, being away from my home city so much this year and just resorting to an apartment has meant that my number of hotel stays is down on last year. |

So how does one get Hyatt Diamond with 6 nights/stays?

I'll play along to make a point of what did not go to Hhonors after many years of diamond.
Hyatt 49 paid nights + approx 20 on points/FFN. SPG 32 + 12 Hilton 6 Priceline 120 appox |
Hyatt - 63 nights
Starwood - 43 nights Priority Club - 65 nights Marriott - 2 nights Kimpton - 15 nights Points stays - 10 nights (Hyatt and Starwood) 98% leisure stays (paid for by me) |
84 paid Hyatt nights
67 paid SPG nights 2 nights at a casino dump in Reno....blech 25+ free nights Debating on adding 1 more hotel partner for 2011 |
I hope since the economy is on it's way up... Hyatt and the airline I fly put an end to the status match. I really think if you want to be elite with any program you need to spend the nights in the bed at the hotel, and spend the $$$.

200 nights away from home.
60 Hyatt (50 paid) 100 IHG (60 paid) 20 asst hotels 8 overnight flights 12 Costa Rica vacation home |
Hyatt - 78 nights (+ 7 free/award nights)
SPG - 38 nights (+ 2 free/award nights) PC - 2 nights Barring any unforeseen change in the promotional terrain, I anticipate a major drop in SPG nights for '11, with PC taking up the slack. That said, if GP doesn't get its act in gear for a Q1 FFN or other ambitious promo, I anticipate that PC might take away from Hyatt's nights, as well. |
Hyatt: 35 nights (32 paid)
SPG: 31 nights (all paid) HH: 4 nights (3 paid) PC: 4 nights (all paid) Four Seasons and other luxury hotels: 30+ Other independent hotels/casino hotels: 25+ |
Hyatt Needs More Props...
And after seeing yet another lame SPG promotion coming our way I really wish I could give more of money to HYATT. Any idea if the Hyatt Place brand is going to expand the numbers?

28 Hyatt paid nights / 16 free nights
2 SPG paid nights 22 IHG paid nights /7 free nights with points 14 Accor paid nights Around 10 nights in different hotels +/- 100 nights at hotels in 2010...enough for me :) |
As I only started staying with Hyatt in the beginning of September, I stayed 25 stays, and about 28 nights.. That number will go up next year!
|
341 nights in a hotel (plus 15 on planes), of which 69 nights at Hyatt, 59 of those paid.
Not too much variety in the Hyatts this year, however: I visited the ones in Doha, Muscat, Dubai Grand and Park, Amman, all three in Paris, Berlin, Seoul Park, Hong Kong, New York Andaz, and two nights at the Summerfield Suites in Belmont, CA. |
28 Paid Hyatt stays, only 35 nights. SPG still higher #'s than GP in 2010, but if travel patterns hold the ratio will reverse in 2011 - Hyatt will get most of my discretionary business given the option.

25 stays/43 nights plus three award stays at 20 different properties for a total of 195,798 points.
