As noted a few posts above, the $51.75 rate is in the system for the Hyatt Dulles this Saturday.

Watch the U.S. play in the World Cup on Saturday, get breakfast Sunday morning and, if my math is correct, get more than 8000 points for $52 (1w, 2G and BWB points).

Did a search, I cannot find any G2 rates, am I missing something???

Those in the forum who are more astute than me and much better at math have pointed out a couple of items in my original calculation that may not be applicable to all but are applicable to my stay.

1w - I am indeed a Diamond and I opt for the 1000 points rather than the amenity.

G2 - the G2 offer is here
http://www.hyatt.com/gp/en/offers/bonus.jsp
If there are restrictions, they do not appear on my confirmation which reads " 2000 Pts."

BWB - technically, the response post is correct. This stay is only half of a BWB. However, because I am at an odd number, if I don't stay the other half vanishes. So, the math follows: don't stay at Dulles - No points, Stay at Dulles - 5000 points.

Thanks for all of the input on this forum. This continues to be a very helpful group of folks. Hopefully some can take advantage of the $52 rate tomorrow.

It looks like they have now raised the rate to at least $59

The g2 on that web site is in blue, which in theory means the 2,000 point bonus is only available Sunday thru thursday, though that doesn't mean that is correct

From personal experience, you might find this bonus to be more black than blue.

And, with the AARP, you get a Executive King Suite instead of just an Executive room.

I don't see the difference of Executive King Suite and Executive room, but I'm not complaining. :D

I had a worthwhile 2-night stay this weekend at dulles . Used my Amex membership rewards cert of $100 off two nights, which had cost $15 in Amex points. This required use of the daily rate of $79/night. Used a Costco cert, and the remainder was only $13. Stayed sat/sun , got the g2 bonus. Total cost of $68 got me 2 nights closer to diamond and the decent amount of points.

Sunday is usually more expensive but with the holiday they used weekend pricing. I have one more of these Amex certs but will likely have to use it in a non-bonus point weekend stay

Now that we've earned all these BWB nights, where are DC-area folks redeeming them? Any great flight deals now through 8/31?

not on the flights

I actually have that posters questions too.. I can' t use my FFN's where I'm going so I need to find a place (preferably not local) to use them; however my searches are not revealing any good airfare to Hyatt locations
