For those of you interested in saving a few more bucks, Shula's Steak House (located inside the Westin) participates on www.restaurant.com

And thanks again to the OP. I was able to get 2 nights. Fingers crossed that this one is honored. And yes, MileageAddict, so reminiscent of the W Times Square $25 deal. Those were the days

Some of the best deals for me seem to hit around major holidays and have been open to all aware of the deal at the time of the relevant deal/holiday.

The Lanesborough deal being pulled in large part came even with letters in the mail, with delivery confirmation in some cases IIRC.

I am curious how much cheaper this rate is than the SPG hotel owners card rate for this property currently. I used to get out up here by some family friend who owns an SPG hotel property or two and it was an amazing deal back then from what I recall being told by the family.

Another "mistake," I hope: Don't miss the FP Midtown - Times Square's Best Brews Package for just $1,998+tax in a traditional King room.

"A great rate plus two local, craft brews on us every day of your stay."

Was in early and saw plenty of availability in Dec but unfortunately none in early Nov when I'm going. Toob da! Congratulations to those that managed to snag a room on working date's. Should this hold it's amazing value for New York.

Damn i needed this for Nov 21 - 24. Was there any availability?
Seems Nov was tough to find.

OT: I seem to keep missing hotel deals! I subscribed to the thread and opted to get emails but they rarely show up in my inbox. Anyway to fix it?

I got on early and Nov was completely empty so don't think you missed anything.

[EXPIRED] Westin NYC Times Square for $60

Noticed that the charges ($144.70 for 2 nights, and showing twice as I have two rooms) show as pending on my CC. Just as a quick update.

This is completely random but I noticed this in my confirmation email:

Special Services for All Rooms:
Rate Plan: Renew Your Soul Pkg
STARPOINTS 100 Per Room/per Stay

Was there a SPG points bonus associated with this package rate?

I saw that as well, but couldn't find any additional information anywhere to figure out what it meant.

Some bank (credit or debit) card accounts are only hit for an authorization amount under $37 per room night on these rates. It would be interesting to know why a difference in practice.

Which would be about half of the nightly rate I was charged ($72.35 per night to me). I have two rooms for two nights, I started with one, then changed my reservation while the rate was still live to two rooms. I don't need to worry about booking any travel (I'd drive this and pay day of to park) so fortunately I don't have to decide anything about it.
