if that is the case, go to Ho Hung Kee...used to be on sharp street in a "more" authentic environment/building but it's relocated location is great for the won ton min...albiet a little more swanky interior....and yes, now it's all the rage but my FIL loved it back in 2008 when we first went to this place before all the press.

In HK now. We just head out and prowl around and eat at Whatever takes our fancy from HK 50 at little shops in Mong Kok to HK2500 at Yan Tohh Heen 2 star Michelin star. All different and tasty. Only disappointed once at Mask in TST where meat was a touch tough although flavours fabulous.
Hing Fat i think it was was a fun find for us. Very nice flavours and tender meat. Mm. Want more! |
Well, I have a 27 hour stay in Hong Kong starting the 30th (6AM -> 9AM +1). Had a reservation for Bo Innovation for lunch that I made 30+ days ago, and the restaurant emailed me today (3 days prior) to tell me that I need to either come early or cancel because they have a private party arriving at 2PM.
Incredibly rude and unprofessional, but more importantly, leaves me with no lunch plans. We're looking for something fun, relatively casual (would love to be able to wear shorts + nice shirt), but unique. Will probably do something casual like DTF/THW for dinner since we have 8:30AM flight the next day and want to get to sleep early. Any thoughts? |
