But I would be in that hotel two more nights, so my night counter should be 2 after checkout. I am just wondering about the stay counter. If the stay is applied at checkin, it would be reset to zero after night 3 and remain at zero upon checkout. If it is applied at checkout, it would be incremented by 1 at that time and I would have 1 stay toward the next bonus. In other words, I am wondering about the dynamics of this if you hit the stay/night level in the middle of a stay, rather than at the end of one.

Thanks Lauren for the early info on this new promotion. Nice not having to wait until the end of December for this news.

It looks like there is a stay counter when you look under promos.

Sooo, what are the best 1k/night properties?

There hasn't been a better time for longer stays in cheap hotels with a partner. Just need to find a 5k/night hotel, both to have HH account and booking the hotels on both accounts for every other night. The result is 5k - 2k (per stay bonus) - 2k (after 5 stays 10k bonus) = 1k/night.

Even without the points purchase campaign, the 1000 points comes out at just 10USD, with the now expired 100% bonus it would've been 5USD.

So 2-month stay will cost just 300/600USD and both will be Diamonds by the end. Talk about value...

Will the bonus points actually post to our accounts?

2,000 bonus points per stay = 20,000. PLUS, 10,000 points for each fifth stay, which would be 20,000 in the poster's case. So 40,000 total promo points.

True, but 2k points isn't bad for a one night rewards stay.

Thanks Lauren! This is fantastic!

After registering, would existing reservations still activate this promo or would we need to rebook?

No need to rebook. This is addressed under Hilton Promotion FAQ section.
