It really depends on the property. Some give out a unique code which can only be used on one or two devices (and refuse to give additional codes stating that the official policy is Internet access for 2 devices). The Trafalgar Hilton in London is one of those properties. But most properties that I visited allow as many devices as one wishes.

The Caledonian in Edinburgh did exactly that, and we tried three devices: no go. The code worked for two devices and two devices only.

Same as my experience. Run into few properties allows only one or two devices.

Likely hotel will give you another code for more devices or bring a travel router to help.

You're right. Moscow Hilton gave me as many codes as I wanted as they issue unique codes. The Trafalgar Hilton remains the only property which insists on limiting the number of devices to 2.

Perhaps this is a UK thing?:)

There have been posts saying it's not a problem, and there have been posts saying the hotels charged past the first device, and there have been posts saying there was a limit of two or three devices.

So I think it pretty much depends on the hotel, so it's best to check with them to be sure.

Example of somebody who says they were charged for all but one device

Yep, I also ran into this at the Trafalgar and the Waldorf on my trip last month. When I tried to log in a third device, an error message would pop up saying the limit had been reached.

The Hilton Sacramento-Arden used to give out a single use code for one device, but now you can log in with your HHonors number and PW w/ multiple devices.
