Problems Using "Old" Reward Certificates?
I had a few points available as Hilton phased out the old point system, and had some certificates issued planning to use them during their year of validity (one night here, one night there).
Just got off the phone with Hilton and was told the certificates can be redeposited, but cannot be applied to a new reservation (they would be honored if they were tied to an existing reservation made before the point system change. Any comments? [This message has been edited by Here-I-Go (edited 07-18-2003).] |

Thank you! I'll find his answer and fax it to Hilton http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Make sure you go to the second page of that thread and see Adam's own posts. They are very clear.

Here-I-Go,
Instead of going through all the trouble of waiting for a reply to your faxed documents, just call back and speak to someone else. I recently used a GLON that was issued before the cut off for a property that is now category 6 (requires GLONP now). I made the reservation after the point changes with no problem. |
