Does that apply to any Amex card? I've got a platinum based in the Netherlands, no 500 point bonuses on my account.

Just book and then reserve with ANY AMEX (does not have to be HH AMEX). You do not even have to pay with the card that you book with.

It will look something like this when points for the stay post:

I had always thought, until just now, that this was only for HHonors AMEX cards. How does one sign up for this?

My experience has been that in order to get the bonus you have to pay with an AMEX in addition to booking with one. Maybe they can be two different AMEX cards. On two different occasions when my bonus didn't post the reason given was that the record didn't show that I had actually paid with an AMEX card. I was able to get it straightened out both times.

As always YMMV.

I have had over 40 stays paid with Amex over the last few years and NONE have earned an AMEX Booking bonus.

Here in OZ there is no Co-Branded HH Amex product ... and the USA HHonors branded card is only available "US Residents, excluding Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.".

I have also had over 20 stays this year, also reserved and paid for with AMEX (non-Hilton), and have never received this bonus. Do I need to sign up for it and does somebody have a link?

Despite what that says, it seems that if you have the HH AMEX but use another AMEX card (I often use my non-HH Business Platinum or Corporate AMEX depending on the situation), you still get the 500 HH booking bonus points. It might be that you'll need to register your HH AMEX as your primary card, but you can still pay or reserve with a non-HH AMEX card and get the booking bonus.

I just checked and this seems to be true even for award stays booked online but guaranteed with an AMEX card.

I've been Diamond for 4 years running and did not get the HHonors Amex until January this year. I was using the corporate green Amex prior. I never got the 500 pt bonus until I started booking rooms under the HHonors Amex.

Does anyone have the weblink to the Hilton promotional page for this double points or miles promotion?
