Purchased a United ticket in Sept from DEN to KAL Lumpur for +$2K that includes flights on Singapore Airlines. Recently, I tried to change my itinerary and was surprised to learn that my ticket CANNOT be changed and if cancelled, the ticket has NO value. United started this new fare rule in the past ~12 months. When you buy the ticket it is NOT obvious that the fare is RESTRICTED unless you open the "TERMS link" just prior to buying the ticket... and even then you have to carefully read the TERMS. When I call United, the Global Services Help Desk, they said "NO," they could absolutely NOT help change the itinerary... have a nice day. Has anyone else had a problem trying to change a ticket like this. The typical Fare Rules are: NONREF/0VALUEAFTDPT, but this ticket Fare Rules: NONREF/0VALU/NOCHG. Please let me know if anyone else has had this problem. John
