San Francisco Gayla IV: 2/4-2/6/11 can your liver handle quattro?

2011 SF Gayla Official Schedule

Friday 4 February 2010

7:00pm - 11:00pm Welcome Reception
The new Lounge @ Lookout at 3600 16th St at Market - Yelp!

Walk up the stairs, order a drink, and head over to the new lounge at Lookout. Hungry? There are many new menu options ranging from appetizers to full meals available.
~11:00pm - 2:00am Castro bar cruise
Depends on the size of the group, Trigger and Boy Bar at the Cafe are (still) what's hot right now. Apparently I'm still a "boy", can you spot me in the flier?

Saturday 5 February 2010
Note: Saturday events are located in San Francisco's Glen Park neighborhood, just a short BART ride away from downtown. One way fare is just under $2. For those interested in heading directly to the Castro after dinner, let me know if you would like to participate in a shared ride for a small fee (we might have enough cars or will arrange for additional cab dispatch, or heck, just BART it to the mission and cab over)
6:30pm - 8:00pm Pre-dinner drinks
Red+White at 678 Chenery St Yelp!
[INDENT]Want to get started drinking early? We'll begin across the street from the restaurant, or perhaps shop around the cute Glen Park neighborhood.

8:00pm - 10:30pm Dinner
Chenery Park Restaurant at 683 Chenery St - $35/person cash - Yelp!

A new venue for this year, it's located a block away from the GLEN PARK BART station. We're going with a later meal time so there's no time pressure to leave the restaurant. We'll have the upstairs of the restaurant, depending on our final count. When we're done, they will close, assuming we keep drinking! Please bring cash, and the restaurant requires 48 hours advanced notice, so please keep me updated on your attendance.

10:00pm - 2:00am - Castro bar cruise
Poppers at The Lookout or Trigger, Saturdays are kind of a hit or miss... although there is an Underworld that night.

Sunday 6 February 2010

11:00am - 1:00pm Pre-Super Bowl Brunch

BRUNCH at DOLORES PARK - 20th and Church St, take the J-Church outbound towards Balboa Park

1:05pm - end of game Super Bowl or something - Wireless' apartment in the Castro or The Lookout if the group is too big
In the past we've had missydarlin's famous mojitos and foady's lychee martinis served in large volumes. Donations of light rum or vodka are always accepted!
7:00pm - midnight Get out of my apartment and let's go to a T-Dance!
D-Lish at Harlot - 46 Minna St

Local DJ Russ Rich will surely impress in this fun downtown venue.

For those that do not speak in the special Wireless retro chrono code - I'm relatively certain this is slated for Fri/Sat/Sun - Feb. 4/5/6 2011. Carry on - wheeeeee . . .

Fixed it, Wiremess. I wasn't going to make that joke, but girl, you messy!

I'm totally there. Flights bought, accomodations secured one way or another. Arriving Thurs afternoon, leaving Sunday on the red eye. I should be at all events - but need to leave Sun brunch about 1:15 to get to the Opera House.

And SF Ballet is dancing two great programs that weekend. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

That'll teach me

It would be funnier if we could use strikethroughs in the title!

Nice to see an official thread. Hotel at a great rate secured, flights TBD. I'm debating whether to just attend Saturday-Sunday (as in years past) or leave early Friday, which would require me to take part of or all of Friday off, if flying from NYC.

Let's just say lately - I've been getting into trouble for taking too much time off. There's also HNL later in the month.

As someone who has tried to put something similar together before, thanks for hosting this for the 4th time.

Hey, there wasn't a title when I edited, so I had to make one up! And I've got more of a Hyundai than an Audi budget, hence my version
