Does anyone on info how I can make advanced reservation? I heard it's pretty popular and reservations are highly recommended. By the way, are both the factory and museum in STR? TIA.
LAX this link leads you to the museum http://www.stgt.com/stuttgart/mercedesmuseume.htm Addresses: Mercedes Factory Tour in Stuttgart-Sindelfingen Make reservation at: Kundencenter Sindelfingen Kasbrunnlestrasse 71059 Sindelfingen 07031-907-0403 Werkbeischtigungen Email: [email protected] I had emailed twice to above W050 to no avail. I might have to call to make reservation for the factory tour. From info available at the museum site, it also mentions factory tour without any specificity. Sort of confusing. |

Sorry to reserect this old thread ...
Anyone have any dinner recommendations for Stuttgart? We're passing through the City Centre about dinner time before a concert and would love to get some good German food. Not too expensive, but happy to pay EUR20-30 for mains. |
http://www.weinstube-schellenturm.de/?page_id=56 is what you're looking for :)
we had some nice FTer dinner at that place ... and its relatively central location |
I know it's an old thread and all but for a car nut with three days in Stuttgart, I'd take a day-trip by train to Munich and round out the list with a visit to the BMW Museum (the first of its kind). The Olympic Stadium is close by and worth a visit. Munich in general is plain gorgeous so a full day can be spent there easily. Trains should leave almost every hour all day long.
Otherwise, for someone the first time in Germany the Schloss downtown as well as the Schloss Solitude will definitely be worth a visit. Stuttgart also has three nice art museums although Munich is of course even better in that regard. I'd say Stuttgart plays on the level of Atlanta in terms of art museums but Munich is about the level of Washington DC. No kidding. Shopping isn't bad either in Stuttgart. Till |
