Weißwurst shall be eaten before noon. Nowadays this is only and old tradition but when the Weißwurst was introduced 1857 there was no sufficient way to cool them. Since they were made always fresh in the morning you had to eat them before noon. Today this is not any longer issue but a nice tradition. Some places stick to the tradition and will not serve Weißwurst after noon. So Weißwurst became a breakfast /brunch item which is traditional combined with a Weißbier.

Earlier in the year parts coming from Ukraine were in short supply, and the factory was closed down or on short working, which is part of the reason it would have been hard to book (no tours if the factory's not functioning). If energy rationing kicks in this winter, I guess there may be similar issues.

Last time I tried to book, it was only possible over the phone, so if it's something you're interested in I'd call them.

Other things to do: on a nice day I'd go to the Olympiapark and check out the view from the top of the hill. Also the Hofbräuhaus is a tourist must (even if you don't want to stop for a drink, you can just wander in and out).

Depending on when you're visiting in February, there may be Fasching (Mardi Gras) celebrations on. Doughnuts are the festive food of choice throughout Jan/Feb - some have fillings based on local desserts which are a bit different. Rischart does some amazing ones.

If you fancy a daytrip, you can get to a lake with a mountain view in an hour on the train. There is supposed to be a €49 monthly ticket for all local/regional transport by Jan, which might be worth it if you're travelling outside the city. Tegernsee is my personal favourite, but at Chiemsee you can take a ferry between islands and visit the palace. Ammersee and Starnberger See are just at the end of the S-Bahn.
