DUS bar hours
Not sure if this is the right forum, so mod feel free to move. I have an early morning flight from DUS coming up in a few weeks and am wondering if there are any bars or restaurants in the airport (or nearby) open 24 hours? I could get a hotel the night before but would be just as happy passing the time in a bar/rest/lounge.
Thanks!

Thanks!

The McD, located near C concourse arrivals is open 24/7. However, DUS will be deserted between 8:30pm and ~ 5:00am, so don't expect anything to be open all night; you'd indeed be better off in town at night (at least on weekends where they have lifted the curfew due to security reasons (too many people leaving the clubs at the same time) just recently. I'm not sure when train service between DUS and town center will commence in the morning, but I could check for you.

If you do end up wanting a hotel, the DUS airport Holiday Inn is on the Priority Club Points Break list for only 5000 points for a night:

Great - thanks for both. Is this McD's on the landside of the arrivals area or the airside?
Good info on the HI as well - I had actually looked at it as an option but didn't realize it was on the PB list.

Before going (back) to the airport, you could give my absolute favourite dining and wining place in Ddorf a try. It's located in the "Little Tokyo/Seoul" area of Ddorf in Immermannstrasse near the main railway station.
Cafe Relax is run by youngish Japanese who are serving very tasty fusion dishes, homemade cakes and other bakery produce and mixing up interesting drinks plus having a reasonable wine and beer selection available.
Should be open at least 1am on weekday mornings. Music is provided.
