Total Rewards Air
For those naysayers that thought Gaming Loyalty Programs were too dissimilar from airline programs to fit in here, bunkum.
Harrah's Entertainment has (apparently quietly) introduced Total Rewards Air, an easy way to sign up for air charter junkets to your favorite HET casino, operated of course by Allegiant Air. You go to the web page, http://www.totalrewardsair.com , and you select which non-LAS HET property (within 1000 miles or so from your hometown) you would like to visit, and a schedule of charter flights from various cities is displayed. Tickets cannot be purchased via the web site; you give them your TR player card info and they will call you back and tell you how much, if anything, the flight will cost.
Too soon to tell if HET is going to comp those famous Allegiant frills such as seat selection and soda pop fees....

Be very careful on Allegiant Air.
Thier lax safety says it all.
Case in point: the plane full of Harrahs casino players they poisened when Allegiant "accidently" (negligently?) crossed the "blue juice" toilet water lines with the drinking water lines. Coffee was made with the poisened water. You know the rest. Allegiant's reaction was to the fire the flight attendant who reported it.
You may not have heard about this incident due to the close, inbred relationship the President of Allegiant, Mitch Alle (who had to name the whole airline after himself...sheesh) has with the FAA in Las Vegas. Due to thier friendship, no violation was investigated and to this day the FAA will claim the safety incident never took place.
Allegiant is as corrupt as they come.

Lately I've been getting mailings from Harrahs for junkets to Tunica, Reno and Laughlin (these are free air and room promos). Most are from Newark or LaGuardia (I live in NYC area), one was from Boston and Providence
.
Harrahs also has direct air rewards 20,000 points = $100 toward air travel. These are on regularly scheduled flights on an airline you choose and earn airline rewards credits.
PS: If you live in the Atlantic City area they are running at Harrahs AC (at least) until the end of March, a reward credit to cash promo, $2 in RC converts to $1 in real cash. (The same ratio as in the airline promo noted above; but you can fine tune the points to exactly match a fare you have found.)
