Is it a "gesture," or a mistake? :)

I'm a former 100K who's now just a member. BTW, is there a way to check how many miles I actually flew Frontier last year? After "recent activity," their website just seems to list "accruals" and not flight history, which is what I assume counts for earning elite status. I think I also flew approximately 15,000 miles on Frontier revenue tickets last year, but I never kept track and I want to make sure I didn't hit 20K.

I was 100K last year. I should be 50K this year. As of this morning, my status is 100K with an expiration of N/A.

If this is a glitch, it's the best glitch ever. :)

ETA: A friend with inside knowledge told me that their ancient computer just recently started to process the status. Because the computer is so ancient it will take a few more days for everything to update. So, let's see what happens in a few more days.

My status now shows 20K, which is what I qualified for.

What I did was take recent activity, added all my miles up and divided by 1.5 to get actual miles flown. (100K gave 1.5x miles)
I flew ~12K last year, back to member status.

Thanks. I pulled up their "accrual" list for 2022 and, given that forumula, gave me about 15K flown miles. You'd have to work hard to be a Frontier elite, because I essentially flew them every month last year!

FYI for any of you looking to get 100K status back this year. You can head over to www.statusmatch.com

For a $99 fee, I was able to use my SWA Companion Pass status to match back up to 100K status. I'm Southwest A-list as well but that would have only gotten me up to 20K status. You need to have upper-level status with another carrier to pull it off.

Frontier ranks Southwest status levels this way:

A-list = 20K
A-list Preferred = 50K
Companion Pass = 100K

StatusMatch.com did require that I verify my identity by uploading an image of my driver's license via an app that runs through their website. I applied on Sunday and today I'm back at 100K status for another year.

When I go to the website. It shows only 20K, 50K... suspect it showed 100K for you?

Just to save a little time for some people, I think you'll definitely need status with another airline (e.g., Southwest). I have status with several hotels (Hilton, Hyatt, Wyndham and a few others), and none of those are eligible; I think the hotel status match was a one-time promo.

I agree with you. It has to be an upper status with another airline. Was able to match to 100K again because Frontier ranks Southwest status levels this way:

A-list = 20K
A-list Preferred = 50K
Companion Pass = 100K

Do you get the status for a full year, or is this a 3-month challenge?

My guess is the former, because Frontier probably doesn't have the technological ability to run a challenge LOL.

NICE FIND!! What expiration date does your 100k status have after you did it this year?

I'm wondering at what point would be good to upgrade. I already booked my flights out through June with my 100k status so would like to try and get as much time when I match again as possible. At some point in the year it should become valid until the end of 2024?

socal77 Jan 11, 2023 9:07 am

It gave me a full year with Expiration date of 12/31/2023.

Ok and how quickly did it process?

Did it state this was a one-time offer, or does it seem like this might work repeatably?

I submitted the match order this last Sunday and the new 100K status showed up in my account on Tuesday, so it was only 2 days - very fast. I did the deal to purchase 100K back in December 2021, when they allowed us to status match with hotel status for $149. Based on that, I wasn't sure they'd let me buy status again. But went through fine with no issues. At no time did the offer state it was a one-time deal. I'm hoping this will be available again next year.

I should also mention that I emailed StatusMatch.com support prior to submitting the match request. I told them I'd done the 2021 promo and wasn't sure Frontier would let me match status again. They replied that they weren't sure either but advised me to try and if I was denied the $99 fee would be refunded.

Woke up this morning and saw my profile still had 100k and even better, an expiration date of 12/31/24! Felt like had won the tech glitch lottery. Then to my disappointment, checked this evening to see that my status had dropped down to what it should have been, 50k elite..... Rats,
Goodbye "Works" bundle and refundable tickets. So annoying how Frontier did not offer any elite mile multiplier promos the whole year to give us a chance to renew status.
