Only Frontier...
Frontier app and website is taken offline so that they can perform routine maintenance on the site. They come back with a nice 50 percent off promotion.
I go to book, and the rows in front of and behind the exit rows are listed at $45 for aisle and middle seats, but the window seats are free... Everything else is free as it should be. I'm 50,000 mile Elite this year, though I have only 21,000 miles this year. Whatever seats I select on both flights of a roundtrip, it keeps coming up Error, and makes me reselect. Finally, I just tried to book without selecting seats, but it goes back to the original departure flight seat map. Also, though my lifetime miles and year-to-date miles are correct on my profile, the part where it says "miles needed to next reward" says I have no miles. LOL It is just amazing that after a several hour outage for site maintenance, the site is actually worse. I could call I suppose, but I hate speaking with normally foreign accented people I have difficulty understanding (I am hearing impaired, so at a disadvantage already). Yes, I could instant message Frontier, but I'm not on any social media platform, and prefer to keep it that way. I'm curious if others are having similar difficulties? |
I booked a reservation on app, $38 went to the end, entered payment and get the error message, went to website fare increased to $47. Not happy, writing the DOT is a waste of time but this would never stand in a grocery store when you pick up a can a vegetable, shop, go to the check out and the price is increased....DOT do your JOB.

I can't check in because of invalid passenger data. I login to my Frontier account and look at my info and they changed my birthdate. So now it doesn't match my tsa precheck info. I called and the rep said systems are down and they can't do anything. She said try back in a few hours. My flight isn't until 11pm tonight but I don't think I am going to make it. But I just have to remember to lower my expectations with Frontier and all is good again. You get what you pay for but with Frontier sometimes you don't get what you pay for, you get nothing. Good luck everyone flying Frontier.

Happened to friend of mine as well. We are really upset they forgot our birthdays after so many years and family events. The good news is my flight is on time.

After noting what you said earlier, GumboCook, I checked my profile and realized that my birthday was changed by a day. And it wasn't highlighted to where I could change it, either. Strangely, all of my other stuff on the profile page other than the "miles to next Elite Status" total was correct.
I'm still buffaloed by the seat map for a 50.000 mile Elite member showing all seats free except for those 4 seats near the exit row. Very odd. I hope this is fixed ASAP to use the 50 percent off flights code. And also so you can check in for your flight this evening, GumboCook. |
I figured out how to check in for my flight tonight.
During on-line check in process, you can edit your Known Traveler Number and remove it. Then I was able to check in. But this removes pre-check from your BP. This is the only thing I found that allowed me to check in. I am happy with this solution. |

Got a response from my Facebook message. They think I don't have problem anymore because I was able to check in to last night's flight and my previous flight last week. They see that my birthday is the right date. But when I login to my Frontier account it is still wrong by 1 day. I replied back with that info and what I did to be able to check on. Hopefully they are more aware of what is going on.

I read this thread earlier this morning and decided to check my account. My DOB was changed to one day earlier when I checked in the flyfrontier.com website. However, when I checked my profile in the app, they had my correct DOB. Ten hours later, this is still the case. I emailed Frontier with a screenshot of the wrong DOB, so hopefully they can correct this discrepancy.

Has Facebook chat with them this morning. They don't see the earlier birthday when they look at my info. To them it is ok. I tried attaching a screenshot of my account info but they cant open attachments. I decided to drop this for now with the rationale being when they fix this, they might add a day to everyone's birthday and if mine was corrected.it would be incorrect again being 1 day later. I will wait with the collective to see what happens. At least it is entertaining.

DOT will act if there are enough complaints. |
Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I had to do what GumboCook did to check-in: get rid of my Known Traveller Number -- and therefore my precheck. I was able to reach an agent on Frontier's chat feature, but he said their system was showing my correct birthdate. I told him it was now off by a day in my online profile, but he couldn't see that. With no solution available, I ditched the precheck to get checked in.
I'm flying Frontier in another 12 days. Obviously, I'd like to get precheck to work again. Anyone have any ideas how to get Frontier to fix this? I'm sure we're not alone, and it doesn't seem like this problem is unsolvable. |

I thought I'd try solving my precheck/birthdate problem for next week. Tried logging in to my account to see what my current birthday is. Can't log in. Oh, well. It's Frontier. Maybe in a couple hours.
If my b-day is still wrong, is there any way to "escalate" Frontier customer service? When I reached "chat" earlier this week and the agent said my birthdate was showing correct in HIS system, there seemed to be nothing else he could do. Does anybody have an idea how to try to fix this, other than wait and hope they get their act together? |
After seeing this thread, I logged in to my F9 account... sure enough, my birthday is one day earlier. I'm flying international next Friday morning out of MCO, so I'm a bit worried. I would think Frontier would find the problem and correct it after enough complaints, but it has been a few days now. Any ideas what we can do to encourage a permanent resolution?
