Website changes
Just got an AirfareWatchdog e-mail and decided to check fares on Frontier's website.
The seven-day tabs across the top of the flight list on the booking page are gone, replaced by previous/next day links. No prices on previous/next days either. This is a usability detraction...why did they do that? Also, fares within a day are now listed tax-not-included; you have to select a fare and wait for the panes above/below the flight list to update with the actual, tax-included price. Not cool either. Is F9 trying to be like SWA with their website? You know, creating something obnoxious that doesn't work all that well? :/ |

The base fare, only, pricing that's displayed is new; hope it's not a permanent fixture. |
I've seen the 7-day range cut down to a three-day range before when there have been website issues. It was temporary in the past and will probably be temporary again. I suspect it's them reverting to an older version of something, or disabling a program that enhances the built-in three-day search to include a seven-day window, or some other similar thing.
Maybe the website issue is why the fare display is odd, too, including the "surcharge". The markets I've been following closely are the same total fare as before. |
I should call IT at F9 and tell 'em I'll work for a college wage to help get their IT systems in order :p. This website instability is ridiculous.

Ah, I see the problem now. They're using Windows servers to run their system. Silly people :p
Anyway, hopefully they'll get their issues ironed out. |

Have you played with 2008 R2? It's so much easier than dealing with bash. Oh, and Visual Studio w/ Resharper is the best IDE on the planet. :)
Anyway, hopefully they'll get their issues ironed out. |

Have played with 2K8 R2 a bit. I'm one of those weird people who thinks a GUI on a server is a waste of RAM but to tech his own :)

That sounds much better. The WinServer kit I've dealt with so far has all had GUIs on the actual boxes.

Looks like there may be new functionality on the F9 website. The following appears after entering a PNR on the "My Bookings" page:
Manage My Air Booking Change Itinerary Is anyone game to give it a try and report back? |

Since I don't want to make any changes, I did not click through. Is anyone game to give it a try and report back? Change Itinerary - Your itinerary is not eligible for change. Perhaps more functionality is coming. |

A lot of good that does.

Not to be dense, but where the heck is "My Bookings"?
