Fly DEN-IND-DEN over the weekend (A319s) and had the room temperature cookies too; first time post-buyout. While I do miss the warm cookies...room temperature soft cookies are better than no cookies to me.

Unless plans have changed, all Airbus and Ejet aircraft are planned to have ovens. All or most E170 do, several (if not most) E190 do, and at least some Airbus do already.
I don't think that the RJ's are planned to have ovens, but everything larger is. |
I flew DEN-STL-DEN over the weekend.
DEN-STL : Served room temperature cookies before drink service. Nice part was the FAs, as they were pushing the cart back up to the front, asked if people wanted more cookies. STL-DEN : Served room temperature cookies after drink service. Now here is the aggravating part. I was sitting in row 2, and I saw that the FA fired up the oven (5 minutes at 39°C), and I thought we all were going to get to experience warm cookies. The smell wafted throughout the cabin. It was heavenly. Instead, she pulls out her small plate of two cookies and sits down to eat them! Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. Amusing story: As the plane was landing and applying the brakes in DEN, someone from about row 19 lost their ball of yarn. It traveled perfectly straight up the aisle and under a cart. After the plane taxiied off the active runway, one of the FAs collected the yarn ball, and rolled it up as he walked towards the back. :D |
