Partnership ends with AirTran
Given what's gone on in MKE, this should surprise no one.

Next Steps
You're right, I think many saw this coming.
Since the AirTran partnership is going to end in two months, it sure would be nice if Frontier made a big, splashy announcement of their new program at that time, rather than wait until the fall. I continue to hold out hope that Frontier joins a major alliance such as oneworld.

I like this remark from the article.

The real losers in this are Frontiers frequent fliers, AirTran spokesman Christopher White said in an interview. A wide swath of the East Coast will no longer be available to them.

Most of the east coast destinations that Frontier FFs are "losing" are smaller markets. The Midwest Airlines routes gained by Frontier in the merger give Frontier FFs plenty of access to the bigger East coast markets.
