Oh well, the OW website is not exactly known for being "up-to-date" anyway ;) Now I'm almost@don'tcare !!

Who is "They also said that they have finished all co- operation with Finnair"? I would have asked to talk to a manager. This is a OW privilege and the OW rules clearly dictate that you should have had access since you are a BA Bronze.

"Members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes with the equivalent of oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tier status can use any lounge offered by any oneworld airline when departing on any flight marketed and operated by any oneworld member airline, regardless of cabin class being flown."

almost@home is not OW lounge so for me it seems perfectly legit turning away AY pax. Also, BA Bronze is OW Ruby

Point here (or a sidenote) was that BA ticketed passenger on AY metal is now suppose to use Finnair lounge whereas earlier you were directed to Almost@Home lounge. And the main point that you are entilted to use fast track security with BA ticket if the flight is operated by Finnair. Before you needed to have AY ticket as well. Or at least that is my personal experience. And yes, BA Bronze is OW Ruby as I already corrected in my earlier post.

In my mind it is that you should still have AY ticket:

When you start your journey at Helsinki Airport, you are allowed to use the Priority Security lane if
  • you have bought a Finnair Business, Business Saver or Pro ticket OR
  • you are a Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold or Silver member and you’re travelling on a Finnair marketed flight (the flight number on your ticket begins with an AY-code).

Inconsistent experiences! I have gotten to Finnair non-Shengen lounge irrespective of the carrier code AY or BA or ticket class Y (or rarely J) and on the return leg as well. I gotten to Almost@home sometimes with AY Y ticket, AY Y ticket flight operated by BA, and definitely with BA Y ticket (did that last sunday). And if there is hesitancy, I show the PP, handy for a free entrance for two people nowadays. Similarly no difficulty in accessing the HEL priority security, be it AY or BA marketed or operated flight in any combination. No problems at LHR either, only sometimes the ticket is not sufficient alone, but the shiny card has to be shown. At LHR T3 the plethora of accessible lounges is overwhelming...

It may well be, that the flying carrier/metal pays the lounge bill, not the marketing carrier?

Only if PP is through Amex Platinum, otherwise guest fee is 24 €

Almost@home is operated by SSP Finland, who lost the contract of all Finnair lounges to another operator, so no wonder, if they have nothing to do with them anymore. This is now the only lounge they have at HEL.

AY web pages do not mention almost@home anymore, BA pages do, but probably just not updated.

Schengen Lounge 2 re-opens 19.8.

The sign in front of Almost@home actually says that the lounge is still serving BA pax... And one friend of mine travelling on a BA flight just recently took advantage of this. The offerings there have really improved significantly now that SSP does not run any other lounges at HEL anymore.

That's what I thought too but when I went to AY priority/business check-in, we got tickets with "AY xxx sold as BA xxx" and ticket said "PRIORITY SECURITY" and lounge was Finnair's non-schengen lounge. Hovewer I didin't have change to test that security because it was closed and there was only about 20 people in a normal security line. :p

edit: and in Heathrow with similar BA tickets, fast track lady said that we can't use fast track because flight is with Finnair and Finnair doesn't have a contract with them. But she said that she let us still go. :D

Went through 10mins ago and there was a lady screening pax at the priority lane...the lane itself was closed (which I didn't realize before..) but she escorted eligible pax to the front of the main queue.

Lines where rather short but I thought it was a nice gesture regardless. ^

Now the SAS/Star Alliance logo appeared under AY's in the main hall prio sec (T2A)

So the guessing game starts all over - which cards, which airlens?

SAS EB*G would make sense given Blue1's large presence at HEL; and LH likes to be in on these things in the Nordic region as much as possible so as to be the "businessman's airline".
