But of course it would be nice to have OW priority lane so that also we non-AY elites could use that.

It depends... if there are many charters/Norwegian flights etc leaving at the same time, the queue here (T3 or whatever it is called) can be very long indeed....
Mostly security in T2 is swift and ok. But of course OW status lane would be welcomed.

The treatment you received sounds odd to me... I flew last week ex-HEL with BA J boarding pass and my AY sapphire card and even guided a colleague who had different flight to another destination (in Y) through... Not mutual treatment at all.

Doesn't the T2 priority lane also have OW sapphire/emerald symbols in front of it?

No, it doesn't. (There is OW logo, though.) It is for AY elites (well, Silver too :p ) and AY C pax.

Helsinki is the "home airport" for AY cardholders, this might have been the reason you were let use priority lane.
I was not even aware of the being able to access Finnair lounges with Plat card even not flying with OW flight. The non-shengen lounge advice me that any flight I take, I'm able to enter the lounge because Helsinki is my "home Airport". Great

Really? Another unpublished AY+ benefit? Nice.

It's always been like that for Plats (and Golds before OW era).

It wasn't like that last week, I had my BA card+BA ticket in hand but was told that it needs to be AY ticket..my fast drying AY Gold card wasn't good enough as I was on BA ticket...the guy even said that AY ticket on BA plane would do it so this was very specific indeed and he seemed to know what he was talking about.

That one I didn't know, but they have let me use the non-schengen lounge as an arrival-lounge with the specific comment "because you are platinum".

Hi everyone!

I am flying from HEL to LHR in business with AY, but ticket is brought from BA so I guess I have a BA number on my ticket? Can I use priority security or is it only for ay tickets with ay number? I don't have any status on ba/ay.

And second little off topic question: Can I use Finnair non-schengen lounge when I am flying in AY business but got BA number on my ticket?

Thanks!

No priority Security and Your Lounge Will be almost@home.

I am not sure about the priority security, but is this really the case with the lounge? In my experience, people travelling on a AY-operated BA-marketed flight have access to Finnair Lounge. (I've only had problems with BA-operated BA-marketed flights, back when I didn't have OWS/OWE).

I think the official rules in the Finnair lounge (e.g. when ordering the "special" cocktails) just mention "ticket has an AY-code" with no special mention regarding the operated/marketed distinction.

PS. IMHO the priority security is not that important when flying to LHR - the secondary security near the passport control has practically never been congested in my experience.

First time IIRC my Y BP says "Lounge invitation. welcome to Finnair lounge located between gates 36 and 37. This invitation is for two persons". This was "AY833 sold as BA6033".

And we were turned away from priority Security - not that it mattered because queues were nowhere to be seen.

IMO the almost@home lounge is superiour in terms of tranquility. The Finnair lounge can be a zoo. So just hope BA gives you an invitation to almost@home ;)

Safe travels!

+1, unless you want free fancy drinks.

But you are an OWE and the lounge gives access to OWE and OWS members. Btw these newish boarding passes with the lounge invitations are quite clever, no need for separete cards or stamps. My assumption concerning the access rupea was based on what it says at entry: OWE, OWS, AY business class but sis not think about the code share flights.

Have the offerings been improved also at almost@home
