ÖBB NightJet couchette types
Hey all,
I booked myself a night train from Zurich HB to Vienna HB on July 17th, 2024. It's NJ467 departing at 20:40 from Zurich. I remember when I booked on Nightjet's website it wasn't too clear what type of couchette I was booking and the pictures were so confusing...
(TIP: book on ÖBB's site, it's so much clearer, I just saw that now).
Anyway I booked a 4 sleeper couchette and my ticket shows "Abteil Comfort Liegewagen 4er Belegung". When I check now on ÖBB's site, it seems these are the new couchettes. It's the same price as the old couchette.
Anyone can confirm?

NJ 467 has 5 coaches from Zurich to Vienna with the numbers 303 (seats only), 304 and 306 (couchette coaches with up to 6 people), 307 (sleeping car, some with bathroom), 308 (sleeping car).
Coach 306 is planned to be exchanged for number 305, which is actually a renovated couchette coach with only 4 people per compartment.
So your compartment might look something like the pictures in this german blog: https://traintracks.eu/nightjet-liegewagen-comfort/
As I heard, ÖBB is replacing the carriages on all nightjet routes one after the other with refurbished models - that is why during the booking process it might be unknown which coach will actually run.
I took my information from https://www.vagonweb.cz/razeni/vlak....azev=&rok=2024.
