I went last March and I didn't think it was cold either. I think I wore a fleece some of the time but I don't recall needing a coat at all.

Exactly, I wore jeans and a button-down and was perfect in that, even at night.

Thanks very much ya'll! Good to know about the Orange bus, light outer wear a good possibility and rail options. The friend I'm going with is very familiar with Vienna so that is still a maybe. We may take a few days to go up to Switzerland for some sightseeing by rail. Don't want to try to do too much so we are still bouncing some ideas around.

Thanks again.

YMMV, but it looks like that bus company has some pretty bad reviews:

weather pattern in this region changes year by year and weather itself obv day by day.

last year was wet and slushy for long periods. this year winter hardly arrived.

it got very hot in a very quick sudden earlier this spring, and a few weeks later i had to pull the coats out of the attic again.

when traveling, always check and always be prepared :D

From my personal experience ..which was back in 2010 it was fine. The buses seemed new, They showed a movie, and free coffee. I have no complaints it was a good way to save some money. Maybe it changed from when I went but this was my experience.

I just learned today that a November meeting at http://berekfurdo.parokia.net/e_index.html will end a day earlier than previously announced.

I booked a room at the Marriott Courtyard in Budapest, but would like to know about taxi fare to the airport. I would also be curious about the cost of transportation from the airport to the village where our group will be meeting which appears to be a combination of train and bus.

Question on Budapest and purchase of wifi card

Hi. Mr. Silver Springer and I arrive in Budapest Saturday for four nights. We would like to purchase/rent a wifi card that works for two people. Is this possible to do at the airport? If so, does anyone have any suggestions?
