I'm surprised nobody has mentioned garnets on this thread. The Czech Republic is as famous for garnet jewelry as it is for crystal. There are a lot of shops in Prague that sell them. This site lists a few good stores in the city center.

The big supermarkets like Tesco and Hypermarkt had open 24 hours 7 days a week.

There is also a good shopping center with cinema at the metro station FLORA.
