You don't need any other app for EU, they all recognize each other's apps. At least from my experience in Portugal and France so far.

Thanks !

Great thread. Got my Swiss covid pass within a few hours of submission. Validity is 4 months. Makes travelling a bit easier.

Did you apply for it as a “tourist” and did you use a hotel reservation in Switzerland that was refundable?

Yep applied as a tourist using refundable hotel reservation. Funny thing is that Italy QR checker shows my bday as one day before the real date, but the Swiss pass has it correct. Seems fine on other QR readers.

The Geneva Canton application is now referencing refundable reservations as not being eligible. Any success still submitting?

"Proof of stay in Geneva canton : plane ticket, hotel reservation (proof of stays which can be canceled for free are not accepted), invoice with a Geneva address, etc."

Very likely just to discourage people from submitting that. I doubt they are reading the fine print on each and every application. My hotel confirmation didn't even have a cancellation policy listed (thanks Marriott) but that was in Zurich. Time for some fondue and hot chocolate :-)

Were you born in a leap year? Seems like this is an issue if your date of birth is after February 29th on a leap year.

Nope not a leap year.

Thanks! Which Canton did you go through?

Zurich. My friend just did Geneva early this morning (local time) with refundable hotel and it was approved within 3 hours. Of course YMMV.

Brware..Geneva Canton employees are lurking on here..

Apparently this pass does not work for entry to Greece, Spain, and Italy. Can someone confirm this?

-------------------------------------------------------
Their employees are lurking these threads and included this language because the application numbers have taken off exponentially in the last 2 weeks. Someone posted this method on reddit.

Can anyone confirm that as of 22 February, tourists will not be required to get a Covid Cert and Passenger Locator (Entry) Form is also not needed anymore?

Yeah, Switzerland is done with covid. They don't even require masks at the airport.
