Mileage expiration
I recently transferred in Citi ThankYou points when there was a 25% bonus. According to the Etihad website, miles are supposed to have a 24 month expiration, however, my Etihad account shows that they will expire in 12 months. I emailed Etihad but did not get any response. Why the difference in expiration? Do transferred in miles expire differently? TIA.

Yes, if they expire in certain month, you'll see a definite notice that they are expiring in XXX, 201Y. Else it will show "After Dec 2015", this is generic message for all miles expire sometime after Dec 2015.

Does this mean I need to book by March 2017 or does it mean I need to have flown by March 2017? Regards John |
