DUB-AUH dropping to 1 flight a day from mid Sept 2016
The DUB-AUH schedule is changing from Mid sept 2016.
Looks like from sept 16th, EY going from a twice daily A330 200 service, to a once daily 2-class 777 service. The 9:10 AM EY42 flight is now a 777, with the 20:05 service being dropped. The return AUH-DUB route drops a single 777 going out @2:25am. Has EY been struggling with poor loads on this route ? The change results in dropping from 44 biz and 480 eco seats a day, to 28 biz and 384 eco. One of the downsides is that EY website will now no longer provide a 1 stop service to some onward destinations out of DUB, such as DUB-MLE, as it doesn't like the overnight in AUH, forcing you to go two stops either via LHR or CMB. You can of course do two separate bookings, and given it involves an overnight, it's low risk. |
