Hi all, we consider flights between AUH and
- South/North America
- South/North Korea
- Japan
- Australia

extra long haul.

In F class, you will receive pyjamas in long haul AND extra long haul.

Hope this helps :-) *JP

North Korea??? New destination 2015 or 2016?

And if japan is considered as extra longhaul why didn't the crew hand out PJ and mattresses in J?

It's where all their customer service teams are being moved to ;-)

From what ive read on this forum Perth is excluded so saying Australia (exc. Perth) may be more appropriate? Please Clarify

I can confirm this is incorrect. There were no PJs on EY 484 in J the other day. Etihadhelp has some explaining to do.

You're not missing much. Its not that nice.
I left mine on the plane.

They had these going to the US ( a far longer trip than BNE)

To the US can't be far longer. I'd like to say the difference between 14 hrs (AUH-BNE) and 16 hrs (AUH-DFW) is marginal.

I'm not too bothered about the lack of PJs. What I am bothered about is EtihadHelp making an incorrect statement. If I was to say to my clients that certain items are included in the price and then not deliver then my clients would seize doing business with me.

seatmap incorrect?

AUH-DUS

According to the seatmap on Etihad's website and seat guru there is no seat 10k. However when I called to ask for the seat closest to the window (more privacy), I asked for 9k (wanting front facing closest to cabin wall, and he said its either 6k or 10k. I checked the ticket and it indeed says 10K, which is not even a seat on their website. The rear facing closer to the aisle seats are all H's.

Anyone know whats going on by chance?

From 1st May EY will be using a 2 class 789, between AUH-DUS. See seat map below, 10K is a window seat.

Ahhh, I see, thank you very much!

Anyone flown this config? I'm wondering if 6K would be better then since its no longer in the mini cabin against the bathroom right? (10K being closer to basinets and Y).

Definitely not, because this 2-class config is not yet in operation.

I'm flying BNE-AUH in F on the 789 in February, and see that 2D and 2G are both blocked. It appears that these seats are always blocked on the 789.

Any idea why, and any way to request them before arriving at the airport?

They are bassinet seats. We got 1D and 1G easily online. I guess you could try and request, but if screaming babies are on board......

Thanks for the clarification. We selected row 1 as well, so should be fine. I would ordinarily prefer to be further from the galleys and toilets, so may request row 2 if it's still unassigned closer to departure.
