In 2006 the skywards offer came in july - with half price sale on 50 destinations. The outbound legs had to be in september-october if I recall correctly.
|
September would be really good, my daughter is coming over for last two weeks. The 50% would be most welcome for her to upgrade to biz.

all very well to offer a 50% deal but another to actually get a seat
we cant even get one on a NORMAL AWARD BOOKING:td: |

Same here. Ms Tinkebelle always omits to mention that she specifically wants F class, on a direct flight from SYD. Awards on these flights are rarer than hens teeth. You can, however, get awards on the one stop flights.
Cheers, Rick why dont you try and Id appreciate it if you tell me if u can get any date between 1 july and may 09:rolleyes: when one pays for F one should be entitled to use those points earned to claim an F award -but I would not be so stupid as to think that Emirates would allow one to use points for something that they want . so Have decided to give a J class ticket to an elderly friend of mine but alas. no seats. |
Ok - It took me 2 minutes...
EK413 - Mon03 Nov 08 21:45 Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) 14hr 45min Airbus A340-500 :) Get it booked quick! Cheers, Rick |
Your silence is deafening Tinkebelle :)

I dont sit here dangling on your every word.
actually im so disinterested in Emirates that I hardly pass by here.except when im really board! and no 3rd nov doesnt suit me *(its not F)or my friend(she my be dead by then:( also one does have to get back so any returns at all with like a week or 2? but was that the First flight you could get on from July 1?? enough said:D and you certainly must have some sort of computer to do it that quick from 1 july. and as you have to search day by day as do the service centre it almost takes 1.2 hr to search a couple of months. certainly a very antiquated website. just used some more useless pts to upgrade some friends from akl to syd. |

Oh, so you're complaining that you can't your specific dates? I apologise, I could have sworn that that you said :-
I started on 1st November (in between your dates), and got 3rd November. And yes, I do have a computer, it's how I post on here. So, please stop you constant whining. Cheers, Rick Convenient that you started 2 days before the first available flight:rolleyes: the airline is obviously very special to you-but not to me or anyone who actually expects to use their points approximately when they require not when the airline requires(like for mths later) even Qantas has a better record than that:D:D:D and are you the post police here?;) |

You have to be flexible - it's no good thinking that the whole world revolves around you just because you've flown in F a few times. Try getting a BA award to SYD from LHR. Pretty difficult unless you are flexible and prepared to break your flights. Emirates are not perfect, but your constant whining goes past the point of being irritating. |

There you go again spouting rubbish... who says that is the first available flight? If I'd have started on July 1st, maybe I would have found July 3rd available. It took me less than 2 minutes to find an award flight - which you had previously stated was not available.
