Did you choose EK because you thought the food would be great and that the champagne would be free flowing and properly chilled???

Granted, when paying for a first class ticket, you should expect first class service. Did you get what you would consider "first class service"? If not, how would you define "first class service"? If each person has his/her own definition of first class service, then the airline would need to come up with 20 different "first class" options for their passengers...

I am reminded of the saying, "You can please some people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time". Maybe you should try other airlines on that route, compare, and then stick with the the one that makes more sense to you.

My recent experiences with EK were brought about because of their false advertising. And I will keep pusing the inadequate respose to one of my points raised"John Ford Manager Customer Relations even agreed "A large number of the cabin crew are Muslim and therefore do not drink alcohol.Their knowledge of alcoholic cocktails is limited"and I have a menu in my hand pointing to the drink that I would like.Just what can you expect with this airline?

"Why do they let so many people have gold passes, darling? There are far too many oiks in this lounge :("

When your paying for an F seat then you can complain about things like the champers not being cold enough. Its a fair point as well. While I have always found champagne to have a mouth puckering stringency not quite to my liking I have to agree that anything but ice cold is worse than cool/warm

Back to the original question. I fly JNB-DXB-MUC with EK in F thrice yearly. I have not noted any decreasing quality in terms of food at all. Ground service is not what it used to be (delays, rebooking nightmares even in F) but on board I have not noticed any differences - but maybe I am just lucky.

I find EK F to be on par with SQ and CX and definitely lightyears ahead of QF, BA, LH - at least foodwise.

.

yes i certainly did. After my first fab experience CHC-SYD in F I purchased 2 F syd-man and 1 syd-bk F and

yes I do expect the champagne to be free flowing and cold not warm.

and the food to be exceptional. i know it is not life or death but living in the free world I am allowed to comment if service changes with anything I purchase.\
And yes both the man-dxb j service and the dxb-syd F had warm champagne and very little ice. it took 4 hrs to it to be come drinkable(to my taste and that of those around me as well)
the man service was therefore only at the end of the flight so it was a dry old flight I can tell you
