J to F Upgrade Issues

I upgrade GLA-DXB J to F recently. It was an email offer.

However, I did not get a confirmation email. I have checked the App and asked for a new ticket/itinerary to be emailed and the upgrade has been applied.

I need an invoice/receipt for the additional payment. Any idea how to get that?

On another note, what is the F part of the lounge like in Glasgow? If I want to use it do I have to pay the full F lounge fee or can I just pay an "upgrade" fee to upgrade my lounge access from J to F.

Last question, will I get the F dining experience with my upgrade ticket or is it a J meal?

In order:
  1. Contact the airline using the chat function and they should be able to send the new ticket with the revised fare. You should also be able to send on to yourself on MMB.
  2. There are no separate F sections at outstation lounges. Only DXB has dedicated F lounges / sections.
  3. You will get the full F experience. That said, the onboard F menu is typically the J with one or two additional options depending on the route.

#3: I agree, but maybe the OP is referring to the caviar? Have no fear, you will get your caviar!

Thanks. on #1, I did re-send the itinerary to myself which gives me the ticket but it only shows the original price not the upgrade price. Any idea?

Thanks in fairness, I have little experience on Emirates and done little research. No experience of F!

Does F include Meet and Greet or will I need to book Marhaba for that?

I think that if your final destination is Dubai, you have to make your own way to immigration and luggage retrieval.
If you have an onward connection, there will be someone with a sign showing your name who will take you to the F lounge.

Final destination for me is Dubai. So looks like I will need to book Marhaba to get meet and greet!

If your think you need an escort, that would be the way to do it. But there is a priority lane at Dubai immigration and the airport id not difficult to navigate so I would not consider it essential.

Interesting! It has worked for me since they started that service (caveat: I travel J more often than F).
The advantages are a) the golf cart to transit security if you land a long walk away and b) being taken through transfer security quickly even though there is no priority lane any more.
I once was offered a ride although I was in J: father with three well behaved kids in J, mother was in F, so got the golf cart treatment. The family got loaded onto the cart and suggested to the escort and the driver that I (sort of elderly) should hop on as well.
