Thanks, this makes more sense as I suggest above and was shouted down...

Nobody shouted you down. It was merely pointed out that it’s not that big of a deal in the scheme of things. Now it’s gone from a small deal to a really tiny deal.

Emirates will cancel Damascus from 14th November.

Unfortunate for such a new route, but not unexpected given the rather low loads I've seen. They were hiring for a cargo manager at DAM up until the other day, so seems like quite the turn to cut this route.

I wonder what might fill this void on the 77L?

I assume EK will start eventually to fly again to TLV, simmilar flight time. They used to have 3 daily flights in the past on 3 class 77W's though, given the short distance 77L could be a candiate.

Some more changes have been pushed into the schedules recently:

EK007/008 LHR downgraded to the 3-class 380 from Nov 10
EK031/032 LHR upgraded to the 4-class 380 from Jan 10 to Jan 31
EK043/044 FRA upgraded to the 4-class 77W from Dec 15
EK201/202 JFK upgrade to the 4-class 380 postponed indefinitely
EK306/307 PEK upgraded to the 4-class 77W from Jan 20
EK921/922 CAI upgraded to the 4-class 77W from Dec 23 Update: CAI no longer receiving a 4-class 77W from Dec 23

Not all of these changes appear to be available for booking yet so could be subject to change.

Really hoping they will launch bookings for PE to ARN early next year. Do you have any experience with that if you book mixed PE and Economy due to PE not being available, if they later add PE can you then add it afterwards?

Looks like we have our answer. EK will be commencing a 5th daily CAI flight.

Timings from Dec 1, 2025 to Jan 31, 2026, flown 6-weekly with a 77L:
EK929 DXB 1045 1300 CAI
EK930 CAI 1440 1955 DXB

Timings from Feb 1, 2026, flown daily with a 2-class 77W:
EK929 DXB 0400 0615 CAI
EK930 CAI 0800 1315 DXB

New flight timings will improve connectivity with certain Asian inbound flights to DXB including KUL, DPS, BKK, SIN, HKG among others.
Also to note, the planned 4-class upgrade of EK921/922 on Dec 23 has now been removed.

Other updates also loaded:
EK229/230 SEA reduces from daily to 6 weekly from Jan 19 to Mar 26
EK237/238 BOS reduces from daily to 6 weekly from Jan 20 to Mar 26

These appear to be the 4-class 77W frames that have been freed-up to serve the new EK041/042 LHR frequency three times weekly from Jan 19.

I don’t think such a configuration exists. New J and PE are installed (retrofitted) together .

WOW, thrilling news for the 306/307 – I was curious when this would receive an update; I recall when it was an A380, and then they switched to the 77W old-style layout, which caused me to stop using them for my travels to the UK and ultimately choose TK – let's just say that was a mistake. It will be fantastic to travel through DXB again.
