Any idea why EK11/12 DXB-LGW switched from A380 to B77W from 15th January until 31st January?

No idea. It's still 77W at the end od March/ beginning of April when I am flying...:td:

That, plust the now ridiculous fares are probably forcing me to switch allegiance. I've had enough.

Aircraft availability seems to be the main culprit behind the recent downgrades to 77Ws.

On a positive note, it looks like the retrofit program on the A380 will be moving ahead again. Besides BNE in February, MAN should be the next A380 route to get premium economy in the next few months.

Looks like the EK15/16 DXB-LGW rotation may well have now gained premium economy too, the last few days have seen 4 class A380’s on it.

Yes, kit seems like that. Same last night, looking at Flightradar24.
I'll be on EK16 in 4 weeks.

Interesting, thanks. I presume that FIH (Kinshasa) and BZV (Brazzaville) will be a single flight. I wonder if they will have fifth-freedom rights; the airports are only 16 miles apart and it's apparently difficult to get between the two cities any other way. HEL was a flydubai destination, but it seems like they dropped it.

Looks like a bigger focus on secondary cities. Perhaps a tentative return to expansion by focussing on tourist hot spots and some experimental markets? 🤔
