Guess this frees up a couple of Gamechanger 777’s without new F (EPV-EQG). Any news on where these will be deployed?

NCE was upgraded to A380 for the summer but is now back to 777 and using very old airframes. Pre-summer NCE was predominantly served with Gamechanger 777’s, so my hope is NCE will get the Gamechanger again from Nov 4…

As of 01DEC23 the following flights are scheduled to be operated by B77W configured 6F/42J/306Y:

EK41/42 DXB-LHR-DXB
EK231/232 DXB-IAD-DXB

These aircraft feature ‘Game Changer’ F and J seats along with the latest Generation Y seats. (Reg: A6-EQH/I/J/K/L/M/N/O/P)

F on EK41/42 will cost a pretty penny.

Why would it be different from the other LHR flights? As far as I know, EK does not charge a premium for the ‘game changer’ product. And checking for a random date early November, there are ‘A’ bucket seats available (A being F Flex which is the cheapest F bucket).
Availability closer to the flight date might become an issue.

Of the EPV-EQG series, as of Dec 1 they'll be dedicated to the following long-haul routes:

EK205 MXP/JFK
EK222 DFW
EK235 ORD
EK237 BOS
EK316 KIX

Of course there's always the chance that they'll also be substituted on other long-haul routes too.

This means EK229 SEA and EK209 ATH-EWR won`t get the EPV-EQG anymore.

Do you know if EK205 will get the new J 777 right after the downgauge from the A380 from Oct 29 or only starting in Dec?

Noticed the new flight to Heathrow EK41 and EK42 are in their game changer. Have a flight booked next year in First and noticed the seating arrangements have been changed. Very happy with that.

Curios as to when EK systems will start to reflect the different seat configuration..... specifically EK235 ORD I have a Feb '24 DXB-ORD flight in F.... but when looking at MMB, it still shows the 2 row 1-2-1 configuration. Would it be safe to assume if I am in a window seat in the 1-2-1 configuration, that I'll remain in a window seat in the 6F configured as 1-1-1 ???

The 77W's utilized on the ORD flights only have the latest version of the the B77W Business Class product, the same as found on the planes that feature the "Game Changer" First Class. However the First Class seats on those aircraft are the old ones in 1-2-1 configuration. You will find though the same lavatories as on the Game Changer with updated designs and a more spacious layout.

Any ideas on when we'll see routes for February? Trying to grab a seat on one of the game changers.

I doubt EK will make deployment changes until end of March the earliest if at all.

From Dec 1, the 'game changer' aircraft will operated:

EK41 - LHR
EK65 - STN
EK67 - STN
EK83 - GVA
EK89 - GVA
EK181 - BRU
EK183 - BRU
EK231 - IAD
EK312 - HND

This schedule should be fairly safe through March. Of course equipment swaps do occur from time to time, so this isn't a guarantee.

They are also regularly scheduled on:
EK819 - RUH
EK853 - KWI
EK855 - KWI

But the schedules for these are too complex and often change.

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 5:56 am.
