Help with EK 77W Seating

Can someone please advise if any of the EK boeing 777 currently servicing the USA have flat beds in business class? EK advertises flat beds on their site for all buss routes but we all know that is false. I tried seat guru and expert flyer but its not accurate plus I do understand the last minute possibilities of aircraft swap. Is there a site or list of routes being serviced by the new boeing 777?

Hi there,

I write further to my other post. As I'm visually impaired I'm not able to see the seat maps for aircraft to pick my seat and would be grateful for your help.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best window seats on an Emirates Boeing 777-300? My mum's travelling with me so we'd like to sit together, plus it makes it easier for her to help me if needed during the flight. If we need to sit one behind the other we'd take that as well. However, I'd like to be away from the wings blocking any view from the window and on the top deck of the aircraft and that's where I need the help with the seat maps.

Could anyone please suggest seat numbers I can try to reserve for our flight? I'd also like to be on the left hand side of the plane, so in seats J or K.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

All the best for now and take care.

Hussein.

Could you confirm which class you’re in?

If you put the flight numbers into flightradar or similar, look for tail numbers A6-EPV onwards for the fully flat. Prior to that they are angled, but still flat.

I think I’d rather gamble on loads being quiet and try to grab a row of four in economy over sitting in an EK 777 J seat. I was in one for 5 hours a few days ago and that was long enough, never mind a US-DXB flight.

Have you watched the video of the new premium economy? There isn't much difference between it and a 777 J seat... I find it more comfortable lay across four economy seats.

Apart from the fact the J seat is fully flat, is wider and has a ton more legroom you mean? And when the seat in front reclines, it reclines into your space.

If I lay on 4 economy, I'd be on the floor the first time I rolled onto my side :)

Yeah not sure why a "world class" airline cant refresh or run newer aircrafts on 5 plus hour flights. Should be no excuse for it. Was hoping to burn my Alaska miles prior to March, have a bad feeling those stop overs will be eliminated or charts will get devalued once they join Oneworld. Would burn it on SQ but those awards have been pulled off from partner sites

The new J is only about 31/150 777s so they couldnt really ensure all 5+ hour flights have them. They do generally seem to use them for ULH routes where possible

Why would you want to use your AS miles on an airline product that you don't like?

This fully flat remark people use to defend EKs 777 J seat is none sense. You are still at an angle and feel like you are being pushed down your seat when you are trying to sleep.

At least with using four seats in economy you don't have to climb over anyone to use the bathroom...

just take an aisle seat?

No one would seriously take 4 y seats over a J seat for a long flight. The seats are comfortable enough to sleep in and the service and TV is miles better.
