Best Value First Class journey ?

If time and start/end point are no object...
What’s the best value first class cash ticket on the network?

I’m planning a nice break and so far Colombo to Christchurch passing through Dubai looks like it gives the most time in the air, miles earned and value for money.

It’s also got a nice mix of 77 and a380 to experience all types of product. Plus with a few stops like Bangkok or Male you can really get a good few legs in.

Any other good ones like this?

HKG-BKK? the trans-tasman routes if any still exist. purely in terms of cost

You can pick up Cape Town or Johannesburg to either London or Hong Kong for R49000 (4000USD) return in F.

JNB-LAX/SFO was running R72000 ($5700 USD) roundtrip recently (may still be?).
That's 4 segments and 48 BIS hours on A380 first class.

CAI-MEL for about USD4,200. Shortest would be some 16 hours each way, but can route via SIN and/or BKK/SYD. Free one-week stopover in SIN (or BKK) in both directions.
CAI-SYD a bit more expensive. Didn't check other destinations down under.

The only one left is CHC-SYD

I would have trouble classing it as a particularly good value though since it is triple the price that I just booked a r/t business class trip from CAI-MEL for on WY :) - but it is a decent 1st fare

Yes I don't see the value either, I once booked HYD-KUL return on Air Asia for $200, less than 5% of that price...

Really not sure what this comparison is supposed to mean - the comparison against business fares on CAI-MEL vs 1st on CAI-MEL seems a fair comparison and, imo, a fare that is triple that of a business fare on a high quality airline is not a good value fare - even if it is a cheap 1st class fare ; not sure how using that as some disparaging association of a LCC on a completely different route has any meaning

This thread asks what is the best value F fare on EK. For any ticket the 3 key variables are:

1. Dates
2. Class of Service
3. Airline

OP says 1. doesn't matter, you changed 2. and 3., then responded to someone else saying you disagreed with them, however not adding anything to the original topic other than seemingly informing everyone of the great deal you've secured. (And I think most here would agree that $4,200 for EK F CAI-MEL is far from the best deal one can get on EK F)

The thread asks about best value - although $4200 may indeed be a good price for a 1st class trip from Cairo, my point was that I wouldn't class it as good value given the price differential to what a business class ticket can be purchased

If blinkered only towards cost of EK fares, then indeed Cairo 1st class to Melbourne is a good price at a base fare of < $3100

No, it asks for the best value First Class Emirates flights - which you've ignored and for some reason compared it to a business class on another airline that you've booked.

Yes - but is it the best value if business class is available at 1/3 the price - hence the compariso - I wouldn't say so. To me good value would be where it is not much more expensive than business class as I have come across in the past - e.g. on trans tasman , when chauffeur was included,, the price of the business flight plus a taxi worked out at approx $50 less than the price of a 1st class ticket - that is an example, to me, of good value and was the best value ticket I used to buy .

If you just mean by best value , is it a cheap 1st class ticket based on distance travelled, then I agree it is - but as best value ticket - because of the price difference , I wouldn't class it as such

Value is a subjective term

The OP is not asking for 'good value' (which indeed is in the eye of the beholder), but for the best value of a First Class ticket on EK. Probably because he wants to experience EK F class.
Why you continue to try to convince us that the OP should look at J tickets on another airline baffles me TBH.

How about answers per routing stated in $/miles ?
