Big question is, does Emirates put in for another 25-30 A380s as rumored, thus throwing Airbus a lifeline on the project.

Very possibly...but they'll have to find quick use for them on busy routes....either by consolidation with another major carrier maybe EY, aquisition of another carrier, using more fifth freedom flights, establishing new routes tho I can't think of too many ...or a combination. And the pressure will be on to shift to DWC or split service between airports.Saudi Arabia and Iran both have pipedream ambitions to rival EK. QR is going strong...so to stay ahead EK have to have high aims which I would imagine they are working on.One day maybe in not far off future,we may hear important announcement by EK.

I could pass on seeing the trainers (SR22 & Embraer) but I have a hunch the A319 is quite a sight (inside). Configured for just 19 pax if I am not mistaken.

Of course the big lines will be at the 777.

At current production rates, by the time any deliveries are made they may only be replacing aircraft being retired.

19 -pax but only 10 private suites. The lounge area seating doesn't look too shabby though.

Politically virtually impossible that we'll see an EK-EY merger, though it'd be interesting.

Are they changing the 319 to reflect the new F?

No idea.

I wouldnt expect it. The suites are already bigger/better than the current passenger fleet.

Late hour negotiations for an additional 36 SJ frames.

Let's not forget the French president was in town a few days ago.

No doubt! I don't think they merger with EY. Nothing happened. Move along for next one.

I think when the airshow opens we'll see an online unveiling of the new F suites and the media/blogosphere will light up.

There may be other significant announcements at other points in the day re:aircraft orders.
