Thank you both.
skywardjunter its the 777 I was meaning, said smaller as don`t think they have the upstairs and had assumed it was a smaller plane. We just like the sound of the 380`s. |
Sorry, another queston.
I know the checked baggage allowance for Business is 40kg each and no way do we have that many clothes!!! but does this mean you can each have up to 2 suitcases. Was just thinking of packing a holdall just in case. |
Brilliant, m3red, getting excited now but will not book until I later as we double check everything and then check it again before pressing any buttons.
We are thinking of EK18 then EK376 going out (3hr 25 layover) and coming home EK355 and then EK21 (2hr layover). Do these flights sound ok, there is so much choice. Flying from Manchester on a Monday and leaving Singapore on a Thursday. |

As for luggage, ex UK there is no limit as to number of bags, you could have 5 suitcases each, as long as the total weight of all of them doesn't exceed your allowance. From some stations, such as all of Africa and AFAIK all of North America you are restricted to 2 bags of up to 23kg each (in Y, in J I think its 2x 32kg). |

I think we will be so excited that any drinks would go to our heads! but of course would be rude to refuse.
Daughter is 20 is she able to have a drink on the plane? I am sure I read somewhere that is is ok on the plane but she can`t in Dubai. Thank you for the info on the cases. |

Next decision for you is seats, I love 18 & 20 K when travelling with daughter and 20 E&F when travelling with hubby. Others will be along with their faves soon I guess. Safe travels xx |
Hi Jodieh12, thanks again for the great advice.
We were looking at hotels last night in Singapore (scary prices) do didn`t book the flights..think I just had a panic attack!! lol but its on our to do list for later. We were thinking and hoping for the 2 middle seats that are together, but that depends if there are any available (according to Expedia when we had a peek there were, but we will not be booking thru them) Window seats would also suit us fine. As we would have 4 flights might try both A bit off topic where do you stay in Bangkok? (will be there for 7 days so we can get a good feel of the city without being rushed, then doing 7 days in Singapore) Many thanks |
The Eastin grand hotel sathorn is a good hotel very well priced and connected to public transport, the club lounge is also nice. Also really enjoy the club room in the Banyan Tree.
Le meridien Bangkok is also in a good location just near pat pong night market. |

Wow, such speedy replies. Thank you.
We looked at the Eastin Grand a little while ago and the reviews seem to be consistently very good. I read that there is nothing around it but as its got a rail link does that really matter? Will have a look at the others, thanks for the suggestions. |

Thanks, I have been reading up a lot and and agree the MRT or taxi (if no MRT) is the best way to get around.
Our plans are to visit the Grand Palace and Wats using the river ferry, go to the Ancient City, Chinatown and Kao San Road (for a little look) Chatuchak weekend Market, shopping etc I suppose all the touristy things which I appreciate are not all in one area. |
