Seat Selection Question
Hi all. Just a quick one.
Last time I travelled EK economy in January, I was travelling alone so paid to select a seat.
However next week, I'm travelling with a party of 7. Now i don't mind paying to select a seat but other members do not want too.
So if EK allows 48 hour free seat selection when check in opens, can we select seats for free when check in opens, even though we haven't checked in yet, or do we have to check in, then select?
Many thanks

But :
1) why you wouldn't want to check-in ? And I noticed that OLCI allows you to change seats even after physical check-in, while you can't if you check-in at the airport.
2) on heavy load flights, it may be very tricky to seat a party of 7 close to each other. IMHO, if you are a FF with preferred seat and if your flight is ULH, pay for one.
At the end, your call.

You have to check-in.

Nevermind we are where we are.
