Well the more I think about it, I don't really buy it either.

But in saying I would like to think ... I suppose I was clinging to the hope of it being true - simply because it's far more palatable than the other option.

If it was indeed 'theft', then I'm pretty sure it would have annoyed and unsettled me in the same way that it affected the OP, had I been in his/her shoes.

Makes you wonder just how closely you need to watch your personal possessions/gadgetry inflight these days .......:(

Some routes are notorious for having to watch your stuff inflight - sad but true.

Apparently the major hotspot are short haul routes around HKG - mainland gangs commit theft on inbound flights and then escape onto mainland short haul hops.

Worrying - and duly noted for future reference.

But .....if the latter, then yet another sad illustration - amongst many ! - of the way in which air travel's transformation, from an almost niche activity enjoyed by a wealthy few to one available to the masses, has brought with it occasional tacky behaviour from a percentage (albeit happily a still-small percentage) of those masses.

Well I guess I will never know for sure, but, I am convinced the crew would not have moved it, everything was secured when I fell asleep and the bar rail guard was in the correct position.

Anyway, although I can laugh about it now, i still get creeped out by someone invading my personal space when sleeping.

It happens that FA or pax take bottles from empty seats, but, not from an occupied seat !
Anyway, it's not a real thief. S/he wouldn't bother with drinks ...

By any chance, isn't it Coop ? He was seen wandering in Jen's suite ...

Surely anyone in J would have their own bottles to use and then ask crew to restock  Unless they couldn't be bothered waiting and decided to borrow from 20K?

Or maybe an enterprising Y passenger who managed to enter and walk through the J cabin for a quick shopping trip?

How did he even get upstairs in the first place?

Too many unanswered questions in that advert.
